A couple of days ago I got to hang out with some of my favorite kids in the world! My nephews Kaylor and Zac, and niece Abby. This was one of my motivating factors to move back to Idaho, I love these kids! They came and spent the night with me and helped me clean the house, so we thought we should go play for the rest of the afternoon. We first went to the park and played on the tire swing for a while.
I don't really know what is so exciting about spinning in circles on an old tire, but we were entertained for quite some time. I think Kaylor spun a little too much, and got a little sick. This called for a much needed break.

After our fun at the tire swing we went and saw the old army tanks at the veterans park. These are pretty cool because you can climb up inside them.

We had a really fun time! I love being around these kids!

Working hard always equals a reward!!!

This weekend we worked really hard on my grandma's house and thought we deserved a day of boating at Jensen's Grove (an oversized puddle) in Blackfoot. It was the perfect day, with hardly no wind and it was the perfect temperature. The only problem is...there were about 14 boats in the puddle at one time...this makes it very scary at times! We still had a blast and each took our turns having some fun behind the boat. It was our first time out for the year, and that is always pretty fun and interesting. It is almost like you have to learn how to wakeboard all over again. I forget how much fun wakeboarding is during the winter. This picture of when I was getting pulled up, I thought it was pretty funny because I have a weird look on my face! I guess you never realize the different faces you make while you are trying to do something.
Later that night we had another movie night. This time we played guitar hero before we started the movie. This was soooo much fun!

Working

Today we went and worked on my Grandma's house to get it ready to sell. The way this house looked 3 months ago is completely different. The house is like a totally new house with the few improvements that have been made. Today we put a counter top on, painted the entry way, and mowed the lawn. We worked really hard on painting the entry way, but after about 3 hours in to the project Cambria decided to take a break and Grandma and I followed...this girl knows how to take breaks. Popsicle in one hand and a soda in the other.

We worked pretty hard on the counters. Here is a before and after shot.

We hired this model to pose with the counter tops...we were hoping this would help us sell the house better. I think it is going to help, at least it better...this model didn't come cheap! After Cambria saw this model at work, she thought she would give her modeling skills a shot. This is her "I'm tired and want to go home" look.

This is her "She did WHAT!?!" look

Bailing Hay

Last night I participated in a very Idaho type activity, I went and bailed hay with Matt. To his surprise I was very excited and entertained about the whole thing. I never realized there was so much to this whole hay process. It is actually quite the ordeal and you have to be very educated to get the results that you want. Matt is totally up on the hay knowledge and told me how the whole thing works. But you all know how good my listening skills are...so long story short...the hay gets picked up off the ground and put into a bail. I took these pictures, but for those of you who are unfamiliar with the haying world, know that I was bouncing up and down in the tractor. So the pictures didn't turn out so great. But they are still worth showing.
This was my view that I had from my seat
(the tool box). It was dark outside, cuz you have to bail the hay at night...something to do with dew(not Sheri Dew) helping the hay stay together and not fly all over.

This is the bailer that was behind us. The hay was picked up by this and packed into really tight bails. Pretty intense process!

This is Matt watching all his important computer gauge things. There is a lot you have to pay attention to to make sure everything comes out okay. I bet it doesn't help to have a red head sitting there asking a thousand questions.

The Cabin

Today we went for an afternoon ride to the cabin. We were excited to see that we were able to drive all the way up to the cabin without having to hike up through any snow. All of the roads were dry except for one spot in the drive way that sits in the shade most of the time, this spot is a pretty good sized mud pit. As we were sitting in the cabin just relaxing, Grandma and Cambria were outside playing in this ginormous mud pit. All the sudden we hear Grandma yell " HEY...HEY...$#!@". We all jumped up and ran outside to see what happened and we found Cambria covered in mud from head to toe.
She was so distraught that she had all this gross mud on her that she was not very happy about the situation. So we all hurried to help clean her up.

After we got her cleaned we all sat around and had some s'mores to finish off the nice relaxing afternoon.

MOVIE NIGHT!

For Fathers Day we got my Dad a projector so that he can have his much wanted theater room in the basement. Knowing this project wouldn't be in the works until this fall we thought we could get good use out of it still by having our own family drive in!
We had my Mom take my Dad to town so we could set everything up for him and surprise him with his awesome present upon his return. We began by taping a big white sheet on the side of the garage and then we put as much soft comfy furniture as we could outside for the family to pile on for the movie. Then as he pulled in the driveway we were jumping up and down yelling "HAPPY FATHERS DAY!" He was pretty shocked and VERY VERY excited! After we ate dinner Kory, Tarea, and the kids came over and we all sat outside waiting for the sun to go down so we could start the movie. After a long debate and a couple of smores we finally decided to watch Transformers. This was one of the funnest nights EVER! I think we are going to have a movie night every week now.

Today we went to the snowmobile races across Jensen's grove. It is always so much fun to go and watch these. Unfortunately we didn't get to see anybody sink...

It was flag day so the cops were out handing out flags to everyone. The funny thing is...these flags had a big stamp on them that said "Made in China"...is that odd or is it just me?
